Well today Jade went to the doctor this afternoon. Jade is our girl who always has a cough. If she isn't coughing you wonder what's wrong. We have had her into the clinic so many times for this in the past 2 years. Hubby took her today and I gave him orders to get snippy if he needed too. We wanted answers this time. No child has a cough as often as her. So she came home with a prescription and an inhaler for ASTHMA. She will have this for 2 weeks and we will them talk with her doctor again to see if we should continue with that or not.
I also went to the doctor tonight. I have been having some pain in my legs. The pain is manajable but yet its a pain in the rump to always have pain in my legs. The pain is alot like when I was pregnant, hmm haven't been pregnant for 9 weeks now. So tonight I went in. Now before I tell you what they said let me just say this IT SOUNDS WORSE THAN IT IS. I have PATELLOFEMORAL SYNDROME. I had to have the doctor write it down because I still don't know how to pronounce it.
Basically it is this- a common knee problem. Pain is under and around the kneecap. The pain can get worse when active ot when you sit for a long time. Pain can be in both or just one knee. The cause of this is unknown. It is probably due to the way the kneecap moves on the groove of your thigh bone.
So now? Well, now I got to physical therapy. Then I go to see a doctor at my local clinic for a follow up who specializes in bone issues on November 9.
Over the past weekend I was at my grandparents house and my leg was bothering me. My grandpa told me to eat bananas. Well bananas do not help Patellofemoral Syndrome just so you know!

I miss you

*this poem was shared at Becca's funeral.
God saw she was getting tired and a cure was not to be, So he put His arms around her and whispered, "Come with me."
With tearful eyes we watched her suffer and saw her fade away, although we loved her dearly we could not make her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating. Hard working hands to rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
Some of you are probably asking who's Becca? Well, when I moved away from home to go to College I was placed with 4 other girls to live with. It was an apartment for College students. Becca just happened to be one of my roommates. I have to say she kind of drove us all nuts, but in a good way.
I wasn't very familiar with diabetes at the time but came to learn that it looked like something you wouldn't want. Becca had this and she had to give herself insulin shots during the day. She got it en she was in second grade. So she was living with this almost all her life. She was even in a coma in second grade for awhile.
When you register to live in the apartment I was living in you fill out an application and note a few things about yourself so you are placed with others you may have things in comman with. So Becca and I both liked to shop, eat out, watch movies, and we were both Catholic. Actually all of us girls placed together were Catholic.
Becca kept a rather messy room. She used to eat a lot of cold hot dogs and cheese! Now the furniture we had was not ours. It belonged to the apartment building. So imagine how many kids had sat on those couches and chairs. Yeah, rather gross to think about. Well, I always remember Becca taking her hot dog and cheese out of the frig and just laying it on the arm of the chair. NO PLATE OR NAPKIN. To me she was asking for so many germs. We used to get after her about it all the time.
After time went on Becca and I got to thinking about summer. We neither one wanted to move home. We wanted to make it on our own. We both had a sister and 2 brothers. We worked while going to College and we just wanted to show our families we could do it. So we set out to find a place to live. We could have stayed at the apartment but in the summer whoever is left living there would get placed with other kids who stayed (many we did not like).
Becca and I found a great job and place to live all in one! We lived at an elder home for of course elderly. It was an assisted living place. We had the whole basement to ourselves. It was 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, and living room. It was great except no bathtub. Just a shower. We got rent free in return for working there. So Becca and I would take turns. We had to be home at 11pm if it was our night to work. We could sleep. If the night worker upstairs needed help she rang our phone. Then at 6:00 am we went upstairs (usually still in our pj's) to make breakfast. Then at 7am we were done. It worked great since we had the daytime to do school work and to work paying jobs.
I always remember Becca struggling though with her sickness. She had a hard time keeping a job because they would say she was unreliable. She had to check her blood before she left for work. If it wasn't ok she couldn't drive. She always had pain her feet.
Becca always said she would never have children because she wouldn't live past 30. I never thought about it much then but I think more than anything she wanted to know what it was like to have kids. She never had the chance. She never made it to 30. She never even had the chance to marry her prince charming.
Becca did drive me crazy with her messiness and her spilling red cool aid on my light green couch but I would welcome her back any day. I miss her alot and think about her often. I miss our late night Taco Bell runs and our bread bowl salads from Perkins. I know Becca is in a better place now. She no longer needs to suffer.
I miss you Becca and today we're having hot dogs and cheese slices for lunch! But I am going to use a plate and warm them up! Love you.
I think too this is why Halloween isn't really one of my favorites. I always think of Becca this time of year.

Meet the Duggars
Maybe some of you have seen that show 18 Kids and Counting. Well, my goodness that's alot of kids. That is more than I can have in my daycare! I was watching the show lastnight. It is on Tuesday nights on TLC. The dad, Jim Bob, commented that if they have 20 kids and each one of them have 5-10 kids of their own that is 100-200 grandchildren. Can you imagine what a Christmas or birthday party would look like with that large of a family. I don't know how they do it. I have a hard time worrying about caring for my 4 kids and making sure they all get a bath and toe nails clipped. I could not imagine 18. And seriously what women's body can have that many kids?

We're cooking in the Wynn house!
My Kitchen looking in from the dining room.

I love my job
I am self employed.
So as some of you kn0w I love to eat out. I used to be a regular at Applebees! Yes, there were a few waitresses there that knew I really didn't need time to look at a menu. That was some time ago. Well the Wynn's have been staying home more. We used to eat out about 4 times a week. Sometimes maybe more. We learned to take advantage of deals when we did eat out.

Tuesdays were good for Grizzly's bar and grill (were hubby and I met). They had 2 burgers and fries for price of one!
Buffalo Wild Wings was good Wednesdays because kids could eat for 99 cents!
Anyways, we are doing really well and have only been eating out about 2 times a month. Unless Grandma Robin comes to town and takes us out! I don't think she likes my cooking. So I have been trying to come up with new things to try.
We have tried scalloped potatoes and ham (nothing compared to when my mom makes it),Lasagna Hotdish, porcupine meatballs, and Carmeled Chicken. The chicken was great. I made it with Noodles but next time I think white rice would go better with it. I got this recipe from the Pea Pod party I went to. We all shared 2 recipes!
Carmeled Chicken-
soy sauce 1/3 cup
sugar 1/2 cup
water 1/8 cup
I used chicken breast and cut them into small pieces and then cooked it in the sauce.
I have even made homemade Chicken Wild Rice Soup. It was very tasty. Even hubby liked it and he is kind of a picky eater. Yes, seriously it was homemade. Not out of a can.
Tonight we are having Doritos chicken... take chicken dipped in egg and then dip in crushed Doritos! I am really hoping in the Spring of 2011 I can get my kitchen remodeled. That is our hopes. We know it won't be this spring. I think if I had more counter space I would enjoying cooking in my kitchen much more often.
If anyone has any great recipes they'd like to share I would love to hear them. I am running out of ideas for this week and its only Monday!
This is a kitchen I like. Look it even has a dishwasher!
This kitchen is in the house I liked but we didn't buy it because of the location. Well we had made an offer on it and if they would have excepted this would be my kitchen. However they turned our offer down so we found the house we ended up buying. We didn't make a new offer or excpet theirs because of it being located on a very busy road. It was owned by a daycare family I had. Now its a rental since they didn't take our offer!!
chocolate lovers
Calling all chocolate lovers. Here is something yummy to try. Not that I need to be eating cupcakes or cookies or much less one of each at the same time.
1 chocolate cake mix
1 package store bought cookies. (like the Pillsbury ones-24 in a package)
Make your cake mix as directed on the package. Place them in cupcake pans. Put one cookie in each cupcake. Do not bake the cookies first. Then bake at 350* for about 17 minutes.
After cupcakes cool frost with chocolate frosting. You can add chopped peanuts, sprinkles or even mini chocolate chips on top. One thing I did was puch the cookie down into the cupcake mix. This way the cookie stays in the cupcake! Enjoy!

Date Night
Jade and Abby had a visit from their grandma this past weekend. I took them over to the hotel at 10am Saturday morning and they stayed until Sunday when Hubby got them in time for Mason's baptism. Hubby and I started calling the night they are with their grandma date night. At fist it was just Maddison who came along. Now this time we had Maddison and Mason along. We enjoyed our meal at Buffalo Wild Wings! We hadn't been there in a long time because we have almost stopped eating out. We used to eat out as a family 4 times a week. Sometimes more. Now we eat out once every 3 weeks! I hate cooking supper after I have made breakfast and lunch and done dishes already at least 2 times.
Sampler Platter! My favorite.

For my Sister!
Ok this should be on my sister's blog.... Oh wait she doesn't have one. So I will share this with her for my aunt who is just drying for my sister to get a blog! My sister is trying to master facebook. Maybe after that I can talk her into a blog.
Grandma Joan, Molly Joan, Faith Pamela Joan,
My sister went back to work last week after having 12 weeks off. She survived. Faith survived her week spending time with her great aunt T for 2 days and with grandma Robin for 3 days. This week Faith can finally start daycare. Now let's all pray that grandma Robin can make it through the week. She is very nervous about Faith going to daycare.
Faith after a long day at the Wynn house. Time to go home.
God Bless Little Mason Danny
Mason on his special day.
I wanted to make his cake but I ended up buying one instead. However I wasn't overly impressed with it.
Mason with his parents and grandparents
Mason and his Great- Grandparents
This is my Grandpa Harvey.
My brother has given Mason the nickname
Little Harvey.
Mason with is Awesome Mommy!
During the Baptism I left my mother in charge of Maddison and the camera. Well, Maddison decided it would be fun to have a dirty diaper instead and I guess it was one of those that you couldn't wait 5 minutes to change. It required attenti0n right away. So my mom got stuck changing the diaper and somehow Jade got the camera. So I didn't get any good pictures of Mason actually being baptized. She had the right idea but the camera was set on the wrong setting and they are all too dark. My dad had his camera so I am hoping to look at that soon and see what he got. There were 4 babies Baptized yesterday! We enjoyed lunch at our place afterwards and everyone really enjoyed it. My grandmother said it makes her feel way too old being invited to lunch at her grandchildren's homes. I made some pork sandwiches and they were a hit (I had gotten the recipe from a good friend)!

However, Mason had other ideas. He did not want to smile. He cried.
Mason is 7 weeks today! He is getting so big. He smiles alot as long as I am not holding the camera. I love this outfit so I wanted to show it. He has another monkey one he got as a gift but that is a bigger size. He's been a stinker when it comes to sleeping at night. He hates my bedroom. So Mason and I have moved to the living room. He hates his porta-crib also. It looks just like a crib but is a bit smaller and folds up. Alittle different than a pack-n-play. I moved that also to the living room but he hates that as much as my room. I hate the couch! He is sleeping better though. He will sleep about 4 hours straight. So we are getting somewhere. I am hoping with alittle more time he will grow to like the crib and then I can move it to my room and he can grow to like my room.
We have a busy weekend ahead of us and a much busier week ahead. Too much going on.
The big girls will have a visit from their grandmother (biological grandma) and aunt. I am taking the two little ones to the park tomorrow for a pumpkin festival. If its too cold we'll have to skip it. I wanted to take all the kids but with the girls' grandmother coming they will spend the day with her at the hotel going swimming.
On Sunday we are going to have Mason's Baptism. His outfit is size 0-3 months. He has grown so much I am worried its going to be a bit small on him. We'll have a few family members over after church for lunch and cake! I am making a yummy pork sandwich recipe I got from a friend.
Next week we have school pictures, Jade has church Wednesday night, Girl Scouts, and Jade has a field trip on Friday. I also start a new daycare girl! I am really hoping this works out.
I best get cleaning while the kids are sleeping.

A Candle
It was brought to my attention this afternoon that today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. It is a day to remember those loved ones in our lives who have had a miscarriage or lost a baby at birth. I am burning a candle tonight for one hour in honor of those loved ones. If you know someone who has gone through this remember that it is something they carry with them every day. Something they do not forget. So today I pray for those loved ones that they have great strength in their lives.
God Bless.
God Bless.
Good bye Tree
Today we said good bye to our last big tree. Mike's Tree Company came and took it down. They did a much better job cleaning up than the company that was here last fall. FYI- No we didn't want to take the tree down but the City made us. Now we can thank the City next summer when we are all sunburnt because we have no shade left.
Of course I took the pictures from the kitchen window. Didn't want to look like a fool going out there!
