uniforms please

Every weekend when I go to wash school uniforms I usually have a few choice words I use in the laundry room. The uniforms the girls wear are white collared shirts and khaki bottoms. They can also where shorts, skirts and jumpers as long as they are khaki. They can wear red or navy blue sweaters and sweatshirs also as long as you can see their collar.
All school year there was never a question as to what they needed to wear to school.
They got up and came to the bottom of the steps (well Jade did) to get their clothes.
They always wore what I had picked out.

Yes, when they would leave for school they always looked so cute and clean.
When they would return from school you had to ask yourself if their shirt was really white when you sent them out the door in the morning or if by accident they wore a grey one!
I have to say there were days I hated school uniforms and having to use a bottle of stain remover on one load of white shirts.

But today I ask UNIFORMS PLEASE!
You may need stain remover at the end of the day.
You may be plain and boring.
However you save me from having to argue with my Abbygail on what to wear!

This is only day one of her summer vacation and having to get dressed!
I have a full house (10 sometimes 11 kids) every day this summer and would love to avoid the getting dressed hassle and the arguing on what to wear.

So please can we get a summer UNIFORM PLEASE?

I am asking nicely!

too funny! I'm sure you have but... Have you tried picking out her clothes the night before and have them set out so she just has to put them on. You know kind of like the school uniform thing it is out and this is your choice. Or you picking out 2 outfits for her to wear each day and then she can choose between the two. Just some ideas. Or now that I thought about it my friend Jenny has a 2nd grade daughter and just recently to avoid horrible matching clothes when she bought Maddie her summer clothes she bought things as "outfits" so that this pair of shorts would always be worn with that shirt. She made sure that Maddie knew they were an "outfit" and has made a point to take the extra time while folding clothes to put them together. So that her stuff was either hung in the closet together on one hanger or folded them so that the shorts were folded and then placed in between the shirt that was folded in half and put in a dresser so that all she would have to do is grab a shirt of choice! I do not look forward to that issue!
