ER visit and X-Rays

After speaking to Maddison's doctor we felt it was best for her to get an appointment sooner than the 22nd. When I spoke to the local clinic (a nurse) she told me to just take Maddison to the ER. So I did. This was Thursday late afternoon. The doctor said when children lay down and vomit it can mean there is too much pressure. Well the doctor we saw at our local ER was very nice. She said in order to see if that was the case for Maddison she would need to be put to sleep. She said by the way Maddison was acting a test like that was not in her opinion the right thing to do at this time. She said Maddison would be very sleepy and wouldn't be playing and also wouldn't even be moving around much for that to be the issue. So she had an x-ray done on her tummy. That came back showing there is still stool in there that needs to come out. The doctor what another x-ray done but the radiology team had already left for the day.

So Maddison went back on Friday morning to have an x-ray of her upper body. The doctor explained to me in medical terms about a muscle inside that can sometimes not be working properly. She wanted to rule that out. So Maddison had to drink some funny white stuff and the x-ray would show the liquid and show if Maddison's body did what it was supposed to. Thankfully Maddison enjoyed the drink and she drank it well. She wasn't able to drink on Thursday when we put her to bed. So by 8:15am she was one thirsty girl.

Thankfully the radiologist said there was nothing abnormal showing up on the x-ray. Sadly that does not mean we are vomit free.

I have not allowed her to have milk on Thursday or Friday and I am trying to increase the fiber in her diet. Maddison's diet is not the easiest to work with since she is a super picky eater.

She is still supposed to be taking her vitamin with iron in it. However that isn't working out well. She won't just take it. I was giving her the vitamin with 3 m&m's each night and she would take it. Well she caught onto that. I have also tried to crush it and add it to chocolate pudding. Now who doesn't gobble down chocolate pudding. Well, my daughter the sweet thing she is caught onto that to. She must have great eyes because she could see it and she tried picking it out.

She has an appoitnment Monday, afternoon with a doctor to follow up on her x-ray and we will go from there.

I am really thinking its all back to still being constipated. So we need to figure out what is causing that.
