~Its begining to look alot like Christmas~

The house was loud and the children were running around.
So we decided to get the Christmas tree out.
Maddi was dressed as a ballerina.

Abby hung her favorite ornaments.

Jade helped decorate the tree as well.

Mason played in the tote of Christmas decor.

They were very excited to have the tree up.

So excited they couldn't sit still.

The Christmas stockings were hung!

The Christmas candles displayed.

Even a small nativy set was put out to see.

A holiday table runner as well.

Now presents under the tree wait for smiling excited
children to open them on Christmas morning.
But if I have anything to say we'll open them Christmas Eve!

~Christmas program~

Last week Jade and Abby had their school Christmas Program.
They have it in town at a local auditorium owned by the public school.
This allows for enough seating for parents, grandparents and aunts and uncles.

We tried getting a picture of the kids before we left.
As you can see it didn't turn out so well.

Abby is in the black and pink dress!

All of the Kind. and First graders.

All of the 3rd graders.

Jade is in the red and black flower dress!

The whole school!

Its fun to see the kids dressed up. This is about the only
school thing they don't have to wear uniforms for.

After we went to McDonald's for a snack with my parents, my grandma,
and my brother Matt who all came to watch Jade and Abby's program!

~Mason~

Mason is growing up so fast. He started this week to pick random spots in the house and stand up on his own! When I saw him do this I got very excited and grabbed the camera. Sadly he knew what I wanted so he would stop doing it. I did get a couple pictures finally Friday morning.

A few things though about these pictures-
Please ignore his hair. He needs a hair cut badly!
Also that darn nuk. I have no idea why its in his mouth.
We have been leaving his nuks in his crib so he just gets
them when he's sleeping.
I didn't realize he has this one until after I took the pictures.
I think someone found it and gave it to him
(there are a few mother hens in the house who like to help out).

Oh isn't his shirt just adorable!
I found this at one of my favorite stores on clearance!
But I can only look at the clearance racks when I go there.

Mason also enjoyed his first little snack at the big boy table.
This makes me kind of sad. He's not a baby anymore.

Oh did I mention what he did lastnight for the first time?!?!?!
HE TOOK SOME STEPS ON HIS OWN!!
He would walk 2 steps and fall down.
Get up and clap and take 2 more steps.
He did get up to 4 steps at one time.
So maybe by Christmas time he'll be fully walking!

~I'm dreaming of a new kitchen~

I'm dreaming of a new kitchen,
just like the one I used to know.
Where the counter tops glissen and children
listen to cooking in the house.

Ok, I was up way too early today so that's
about as good as I can come up with!

Current kitchen picture.
Yes, I know I need to clean the frig.
I just have too many things to hang up there.

What my kitchen should look like!

Danny went to Menards and came back with this!
So I sent him back to do the other side of the kitchen!

Current picture of the kitchen.

What it could look like.
We would tweak this some more though
because I do not like the gap between the window
and the cupboard.
We would also have a small 6 inch area we would
possible need to order a custom cupboard to fit
(One of those cupboard for cookie sheets)!
We also tossed the idea of adding 3 small cupboard ontop of these to go to the ceiling.
Just trying to invision if it would look good is hard to do.
The new look would give me more counter space.
I would loose my pantry but its not a good one anyways.
So I can live with that.

I just had to share these pictures. We've been talking for 2 years about a new kitchen but of course to do it right it takes money! Lots of it. They actually even priced out the cupboards we need so now we know how much it would cost. I love that I can see it in a picture instead of trying to imagine it in my head. My dream kitchen would have an island. We would have to add on to do that and my husband did not think that was a good idea. He's probably right. I will live without an island.

I'm praying I get my kitchen this Spring but I will be happy whenever it might be.

~Going outside~

Going outside can be a challange some days. So we decided this winter to just go out on Monday and Wednesday. This also helps for parents to know which days to bring warm clothes. Danny couldn't believe I was taking them all out. He said it was too much work.

Crazy thing is that it took us 20 minutes to get ready
and we were only outside for 15 minutes!

Uncle Matt

We had some company on Saturday night for supper.
Its not often this happens.
We had a great time!
Uncle Matt even came along.
He decided to be a stinker and give Mason a taste of Seirra Mist.

Both Matt and Mason are the babies in the family
so of course they neither one got in trouble.

After supper Matt rested on the couch because he had a cold.
So Abby and Maddison played doctor!

We love when Unlce Matt comes because he's like a big kid!
Hopefully next time he will bring his girlfriend along.
We'd love to meet her!
(Doesn't he look really young! He's actually 22!
Oh that makes me feel so old. I used to carry him around.)
